Rain takes a break, nice size Salmon on first day

The rain was light and intermittent at times, but it cleared up as the day went on and we boated some really nice Chinook Salmon. We caught 3 over the course of the day and a couple that didn’t get to the boat. Overall it was awesome. To see a 15+ pound Salmon cutting across the 50 foot river in 2 seconds was amazing. These are big fish that give a good fight. Check out the photos in the gallery. We’ll be at it again tomorrow for as long as the weather holds.

First day of fishing tommorrow

Looks like the rain is a little behind what we anticipated. Chance of rain off and on tommorrow with it getting heavier as the weekend draws near. Got our fishing licenses and we are off at 7am.  We will be fishing the Yaquina Bay River near Toledo and Elk City. Reports to follow tommorrow night. So far no rain :)
