2009 Salmon Season Open in Newport Oregon
June 20th, 2009 marked the beginning of Salmon season on the Oregon Coast. Yaquina Bay Charters came in with lots of nice Salmon to start the season. Check out some of the pictures straight from the fishing dock.
Fishing Tournament less then 6 weeks away
Final preperations are being completed for the Pacific Coast Fishing Trip out of San Diego on the Jigstrike July 17th, 2009. According to Sea Adventure Sports Fishing, Right now at the Islands we are catching lot’s of bottom fish, rock fish, sculpin, a few really nice halibut, and lot’s of bass and barricuda’s. Yellowtail are also being caught. Im hoping the Dorado follow the yellowtail. Should make for some really good fishing.
Missing out on the Halibut Season This weekend
Boy I wish I was headed up to Newport this weekend for a weekend of Halibut fishing. The game and fish have predetermined times to fish for the Pacific Halibut.
